This post is for my friend…  She is looking for more paleo type breakfasts to serve to her 10 year old who apparently can be as picky as my 6yr old!  Well, this is an original concoction created by my 21 yr old college athlete daughter.   After her (many) workouts, she comes into the kitchen yearning for food.  But not just any food.   High protein is in order after her long runs.  So after whipping up this mixture, she is not only satisfied with the yummy taste, but the amount of protein her body needs as well.   She calls this “cookie dough” since that is the taste and texture of this snack.  …And she discovered her finicky little sister liked it for her breakfast!

High protein "Cookie dough"
My daughter uses this recipe for high protein snacking after workouts, or to serve breakfast to her 6 yr. old picky sister. Can be used with sliced apples, celery, or even jicama!
Recipe type: Snack
Serves: Servings: 2-3
  • 4-5 T. Almond butter
  • 1 scoop Protein powder
  • 1-2 T. Honey
  1. Add ingredients to a jar or bowl in the order that is listed. (It's important not to put protein powder on the bottom, as it's harder to stir then. )
  2. Stir well.
